Simon Batoni is a qualified Club Professional Coach with Tennis Australia TCA, TA, TCAV as well as holding the Italian Tennis Professional Qualification “Maestro Secondo Grado” FIT/ITF.  Simon has over 30 years of coaching experience at a global level. Having trained alongside top coaches and working in a range of international tennis academies.

With a modern view and a strong knowledge of the game, Simon has valuable experience coaching players from all parts of the world. He coaches adults and children of all ages and at all proficiency levels, from beginner to professional.

Simon worked in Tuscany, Italy at the exclusive Circolo Tennis Certosa and Circolo Tennis Pontedera, where he held a Head Coach position and was responsible for the junior development training for the club’s tennis teams. Simon began coaching his first Italian Elite players,

Matteo Aprile, winner of the European Team Championship 1994 and World Team Championship Tokyo 1994

And…

Elisa Innocenti WTA ranking 710 and Matteo Travisan No.1 ITF Junior in the world in 2007.

When moving back to Australia Simon played an integral role in the development program for Tennis Australia and Tennis Victoria National Girls Program. he has also been privately coaching Mishma Kumar, former U14 No 2 Junior in Australia and Stefani Stojic member of Australian Under 14 Optus World Junior Tennis Team, currently attending a scholarship with Gators Women Tennis in Florida, USA. As a player, Simon has played the European and Australian Satellite/Futures Tours.

Simon was the Director and Head Coach of Greythorn Park Tennis Club in North Balwyn. During His time with GPTC, he has conducted a highly professional and respected junior tennis program.
