Squad training

Squad sessions employ a 1:8 coach to player ratio across two courts.

Early Talent

The Program was introduced in 2020 and has been designed for high performing players, looking to one day get into competition.

The Early Talent Squad has been created for children from the age of 8 years who show potential in the Hot Shots Program and are ready for a challenge. A weekly and specific well-planned written training program will ensure optimum development throughout the year. It is recommended to train with the squad twice per week alongside private lessons to ensure the most is gained from training.

The program will:

- develop competitors through regular, well organised, high quality and fair competition and training

- promote teamwork among athletes

- develop technically, tactically, physically,  and mental skills.

- On/Off court conditioning specifically designed for younger athletes/specific footwork patterns

ELIGIBILITY: [Invitation only] Players are selected from our Hot Shots program (orange, green) who are able to commit for the four terms of the year. New players are assessed in order to join the program. Arrange for your child to have an on/off court assessment to establish a player's current developmental level technically, tactically, physically, and mental.

aDvanced

The Program has been designed for Intermediate players wishing to train and practice more. They have just moved out from Junior Development program or who have had two years of club competition / or tournament play.

A weekly and specific well-planned written training program will ensure optimum development throughout the term/year. Ultimately, success comes from training and performing well over the long-term rather than winning in the short-term. There are no shortcuts to success in a player preparation. Rushing training will always results in shortcomings in technical, tactical, physical and mental abilities.

All players are expected to exercise a high degree of self-discipline, and to participate actively with peers and coaches.
