About Us

Our Mission.

DEVELOPING PUPILS INTO CONFIDENT PLAYERS THROUGH TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE, DEDICATION, AND A GENUINE LOVE OF THE GAME.

Striving for a culture based on competitive spirit, sportsmanship, and performance, we help students reach the top of their game, growing as both players and people.

Great tennis starts here

World Class Tennis Academy is one of Australia’s most respected tennis programs. With world-class instruction across all ages and levels, we deliver the kind of coaching that goes above and beyond. The measure of attention each student receives, the personalised approach to their development, and the supportive environment we foster make WCTA the most in-depth tennis program available in Melbourne.

our Coaching

Coaching is an art, and communication with each player is key. That is why we believe that a smaller, more focused program with a heavy emphasis on the individual is how to truly develop great tennis players.

Over the past 30 years, head coach Simon Batoni has dedicated his career to changing lives through the development of tennis players on all levels. It is a long-term process. It takes hard work, dedication, and the right environment to truly unlock your potential. At WCTA, we provide all three, and are committed to developing you as a person, athlete and player.

Our Vision.

TO DEFINE THE STANDARD FOR TENNIS COACHING IN AUSTRALIA AND EMPOWER EACH PLAYER TO EXCEED THEIR POTENTIAL.

Coaching Philosophy

Passion for the game is at the core of everything our coaches do. From how we structure a session to how we communicate with each individual, every decision we make is guided by one clear priority: the development of the player.

To achieve this, every WCTA coach is trained under the same system by the head coach. This shared philosophy and common coaching language creates a seamless experience for the player, one that is consistent, structured, and built around their individual growth. The result is a program that doesn’t rely on any single coach, but on an organised team working toward the same goal.

This synergy between coach and player is what sets WCTA apart and it’s what turns good players into great ones.

2009

WCTA is founded at Greythorn Park Tennis Club.

Led by head coach and director Simon Batoni, WCTA is established with a clear vision, to bring world-class tennis coaching to Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Starting from a single venue, the academy quickly builds a reputation for expert, structured coaching and a community that loves the game.

2020

WCTA relocates to Park Orchards Tennis Club.

Seizing an opportunity for growth, WCTA relocates to Park Orchards Tennis Club, a beautiful, tranquil setting that perfectly reflects the community-driven spirit of the academy.
