Coach Profile

Simon holds the Tennis Australia Club Professional Coach qualification (TCA, TA, TCAV) and the prestigious Italian Tennis Professional qualification, Maestro Secondo Grado (FIT/ITF), one of the highest coaching certifications in European tennis. As a player, Simon competed on both the European and Australian Satellite and Futures Tours.

Simon Batoni is the founder, head coach, and driving force behind World Class Tennis Academy. With over 30 years of coaching experience at a global level, Simon has built a career defined by a deep passion for the game and an unwavering commitment to developing players at every level, in every corner of the world.

International Experience

Simon's coaching career has taken him across the world, training alongside some of the most respected names in the sport and working within elite international academies.

Italy

Simon spent formative years in Tuscany, Italy, serving as Head Coach at the exclusive Circolo Tennis Certosa and Circolo Tennis Pontedera, where he was responsible for junior development and club team programs. It was here that Simon began coaching his first elite Italian players.

Australia

Returning to Australia, Simon played an integral role in the Tennis Australia and Tennis Victoria National Girls Program before founding WCTA. He has privately coached some of Australia's most promising junior talents.

Simon served as Director and Head Coach at Greythorn Park Tennis Club in North Balwyn, where he built one of the most respected junior tennis programs in Melbourne.

In 2009 Simon founded World Class Tennis Academy, before relocating to its current flagship venue at Park Orchards Tennis Club in 2020 and expanding to Currawong Tennis Club in Donvale in 2024. Today, Simon continues to lead WCTA with the same passion and purpose that has defined his career. Coaching with dedication, raising the standard of tennis in Australia, and helping each player exceed their potential.
